FREE CLASS: The Missing Piece
— LESSONS 9 OF 13
Commensals, opportunists, pathogens, and the markers most often skipped.
This lesson teaches you to interpret the microbial ecosystem and gastrointestinal function together—including pathogens, commensals, opportunistic organisms, digestion, immune activity, and barrier integrity. The focus is on determining whether a finding is clinically meaningful and understanding the gut environment that may be allowing symptoms or organisms to persist.
GI-MAP is used when the client’s history and symptom patterns point toward gastrointestinal dysfunction. It helps confirm the working hypothesis and identify which aspects of the gut environment may need attention. The goal is to understand the pattern as a whole rather than turning every detected organism into a separate intervention.
