A 13-lesson series on working through a functional health case, from intake to a clear plan.

Across these lessons, we will build one thing together: a repeatable way to look at a client and know what comes first. Whether you are still learning the labs or already using them with clients, this series will help you connect symptoms, history, biometrics, and test results and turn them into a clear clinical process.
By the end, you will be better equipped to form a working hypothesis before testing, select labs strategically, recognize the patterns connecting different systems, and organize the information into a logical order rather than responding to whichever finding appears most urgent.
Lessons 1 through 4 establish how to gather information, confirm direction, choose testing strategically, and stabilize the client. Lessons 5 through 12 explore the individual testing tools and the clinical questions they can help answer. Lesson 13 brings the nervous system underneath the entire process.
There is also a bonus lesson on gut microbiome diversity and restoration. It follows the GI-MAP lesson naturally but sits outside the main sequence because it focuses less on reading a panel and more on rebuilding what testing may show is missing. The Missing Piece class is where all of these individual pieces become one complete framework.
Work through the lessons in order, even if you are already familiar with some of the individual labs. Pick one real client and consider that case as you move through the series. Continually ask: What does this tell me? What does it change? Where does it belong in the case?
If you are newer to functional testing, the structure will simplify what has felt overwhelming. If you are more experienced, it will help refine your clinical reasoning and sequencing without replacing what you already know. The thinking also transfers to other testing options, so you do not need to use every panel shown in this series.
